On November 6, Hill will be welcoming a special group of artists – The Martial Artists and Acrobats of Tianjin, People’s Republic of China.
The Troupe was established in 1957 as a combination of the former China Circus & Acrobats that was founded in 1948. It is one of the best acrobatic troupes in China with over 100 acrobatic, magical and martial arts performers. With novelty and superior techniques, the acrobatic group is favored by audiences all over the world.
These renowned Chinese artists have more than 30 representative acts, featuring over 100 amazing acrobats, magicians, and traditional Shaolin martial arts. Many of which have won prizes in national and international festivals and competitions.
The company has toured extensively to France, Japan, Australia, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Iceland, Italy, Israel, South Korea, DPRK, Belgium, Russia, and Hong Kong. With World circuses, the company had acts perform in Ringling and Barnum & Bailey Bros., National Circus and UniverSoul Circus.
In 2017, the company will begin a new tour to North America including many other stops besides Hill; they will be holding performances at University of Illinois, Pepperdine University, and other places.
The lively arts event will take place in the CFTA with adviser seating on November 6. The dress will be academic casual.
