Ever since the Coronavirus outbreak, life has changed completely. With so much free time on our hands, there’s finally time for friends, family, and all the hobbies that have been put off to the side for far too long. Adjusting to this new lifestyle can be difficult, but many Hill students are now making the best out of their situations.
“I’m spending a lot more time with my family,” Carolyn Tsiang ’20 said. “Even after my 14-day quarantine, I’m choosing to stay inside.”
The Coronavirus isn’t stopping Tsiang from doing new things, as she has been keeping herself very busy.
“I’m cooking and baking at home, editing my vlogs, redecorating my room, and also doing yoga outside in my backyard,” she said. “It has definitely been a relaxing few weeks at home. You have and live in the moment, and, as cheesy as it sounds, you never know when that’ll be taken away from you.”
Dami Odubona ’23 said that ever since the outbreak, her life has become “more chill.” Obudona is using her time to reconnect with her friends and family, doing what she enjoys.
“You don’t have to have an exciting life by going out or partying,” Odubona said. “But just being able to do what makes you happy.”
In her free time, Obudona is trying new things with haircare.
“I’ve started experimenting with different styles of my hair to see what and what doesn’t work,” Obudona said.
To keep herself occupied, Sheridan Ameo ’22 has been spending time with her family and picked up many new hobbies.
“I play monopoly every day with my family,” Ameo said. “We’ve been cooking more, making homemade pasta and baking treats. I’m learning how to play the ukulele, and I’m really bad at it, but it’s fun! I’m also painting and reading a lot, and planning on starting a cross-stitch project.”
