Staying home in quarantine is not ideal for anyone. Keeping up with hobbies is getting more difficult, especially for those whose hobbies require equipment and space. Hannah Spease ’20, captain of the varsity girls lacrosse team, has been doing everything she can to keep in shape during quarantine.
“I have a net and bounce back in my yard that I go to almost everyday, or every other, in order to keep in shape and train for my next season,” said Spease ’20 when asked about how she is keeping up with her sport.
“Because of the pandemic, our season was abruptly cancelled practically before it even began,” Spease said. “We did not get to play more than two weeks of lacrosse, unfortunately. Coach Gaitan has been doing a great job working with the other coaches and captains to make the most out of this situation. We are continually keeping in touch and engaging with each other to keep the team aspect and keep everyone busy during quarantine.”
“Even though we didn’t have a real season this year, this team still means a lot to me and I wish I got to see what we were going to be able to do on the field,” Spease said to her teammates.
