Hudak ’24 and Moore ’24 elected as 3rd form SGA senators
On October 11, Mason Moore ’24 and Amanda Hudak ’24 were officially elected to the Student Government Association as third form senators. This news came soon after a debate on Zoom where four candidates spoke to their form about their intentions regarding the position and a 24-hour voting period. As elected senators, Hudak and Moore will be representing the third form and voicing its concerns to the rest of the SGA. The pair step into this leadership position during a tumultuous and ever-changing time, but are prepared to take on the task whole-heartedly.
“I want people to be able to feel comfortable with coming up to me, and I just really want to make a difference for my class during these uncertain times. I hope to try and get to know everyone and have everyone get to know each other. Because of COVID it’s going to be harder but that’s a challenge I’m willing to take on,” Hudak said.
Moore is also extremely enthusiastic about being a part of the SGA.
“The hardest part about running for SGA is putting yourself out there, but I’m extremely grateful to be elected by a wonderful form. I’m definitely looking forward to being a voice of our class alongside Amanda.”
During the candidate debate, Moore and Hudak both described desires to further unite the third form and foster a sense of community during a time when social distancing is prevalent and each spoke to their outgoing and social personalities. Having been elected, they will be working with the six other form senators and SGA co-presidents Sasjha Mayfield ’21 and Andrew Chireleison ’21 to meet the needs and concerns of the student body at Hill.
