Madison, WI: Celebration flooded the streets of Wisconsin after the Associated Press called the election for Joe Biden at 10:30 CST on Nov 7.

The streets were filled with honking horns, and American Flags and large Biden banners lined the city. Most of the festivities were taking place in the capital city of Madison after the state flipped blue on 5:56 p.m. EST Wednesday.

Madison is one of the most heavily Democratic areas in the state.

Downtown on the West Side of the Capital, a crowd began to gather after the announcement. It soon turned into what some might call a block party. The Cupid Shuffle was played, speeches were made by young activists, and the Biden Harris Campaign was handing out posters and buttons.

Most of the people in attendance at the Biden Harris celebration were young people, possibly first-time voters.

A man handing out posters and working for the Biden campaign expressed his happiness that the town was coming together.

A small group of Biden supporters wore all black and sported masks with ANTIFA written on them. They carried guns and walked the capital’s perimeter, but they did not incite violence nor were provoked by any Trump supporters.

The East side of the capital was in stark contrast to the West side. People wielded large Trump Flags and chanted, “This is not over yet!”

One Biden supporter verbally confronted a man holding a Trump sign with an explicit message on it. The confrontation was quickly diffused when bystanders brought out phones to video the encounter.

There were police present on both sides, and everything remained peaceful into the night.
