Spotlight: Hill 5th formers discuss sports on their podcast “Who You Got”

As the moon peeked at the fallen leaves on the Hill’s campus, all was quiet on this particular fall evening. A mild murmur sounded into the night, stemming from the Dining Hall, as students and teachers sat down to enjoy a bite. Although peaceful conversations accompanied most tables on that night, one table’s discussion, in particular, was heating up. A quick glance revealed not just who these gentlemen were but what the topic of discussion was on that chilly September night.

What began as a routine sports debate for Tyler Chenevert ’22, Will Biggs ’22, Graham Eilberg ’22 and Aidan Neiswender ’22 quickly morphed into a multi-faceted and well-rounded sports podcast – thanks in large part to the opportunity created through the H-term independent project.

Their podcast, “Who You Got,” has gone in-depth, breaking down college and professional sports of all kinds.

The summary on the Spotify playlist reads as follows: “The all-around sports podcast you need to listen to. On ‘Who You Got,’ Tyler Chenevert, Graham Eilberg, Will Biggs, and Aidan Neiswender (all high school students) discuss outrageous sports takes and they get heated! In this all sports podcast we discuss the daily games, news, trades, and signings from across all leagues. So who you got?”

“Hopefully we are going to expand the podcast as well as bring on interviews,” Chenevert said.

As a part of that expansion, they hope to get insights from both players and coaches at the NCAA Division I level.

With three of the podcast contributors playing for Hill’s boys varsity basketball team, college and professional basketball are frequently featured in their discussions. Most recently, however, they discussed the heroics of Tom Brady and the Buccaneers as they were able to defeat the first-seeded Green Bay Packers and advance to Brady’s record tenth Super Bowl.

Through thought-provoking discussion and commentary on sports controversies, Biggs, Chenevert, Eilberg and Neiswender draw listeners to join. Be sure to check them out, and, if you see them walking the grounds at Hill this spring, don’t be afraid to let them know who you got.
